World Tour on Bikes? Meet the Kenyan Duo that’s seeking to do it

How does a world tour sound? But first, the “extra-ordinary people” category has always been there on the blog. However, I have never written anything under the same. Not to mean I haven’t met people who qualify… my Instagram family is extraordinary, I’ve met people who go out of their way to make the world a better place. I really think I should do such posts more often. Let me know what you think? How about seeing the world while riding a cool bike? That’s exactly what these amazing guys are onto. We start this off

planting trees

Kinga Conservancy – Planting trees, and hope.

For Earth day this year, we were part of something very sobering. It is amazing just how much us human beings can achieve within such a short period. By the time Kenya was getting her independence, about 10 percent of her land was covered with trees. By the year 2006, that figure had dropped to 1.7%. Quantifying what we have in 2017 is just sad. Deforestation has proven the extent to which human selfishness runs. Seems like at some point most of us stopped planting trees while the rest were busy decimating them. If the trends

Few hours in Mombasa? Here is a plot!

Mombasa is, in many ways, one of the best cities there is. There is too much diversity, and one never lacks things to see or do. It’s not uncommon to find yourself in a town for just a few hours. We can go on and on about love, but is all narrows down to the fact that is the world’s greatest dynamic, it overshadows race, clogs religious differences… it’s the difference between us and rocks.

There is so much to learn from your immediate environment. This

The Maasai Mara in 15 pictures

Maasai Mara is one of the most preferred places to do an African safari. First things first though. I'm so excited to do my first post on Kenya. One, it's Kenya... two, I'm Kenyan. But seriously, I love Kenya so much, some people (wink) thinks its crazy! Whether you're a Kenyan or not, there's so much to love about this country. Hopefully my blog will convince you that :) So, one of the most visited places in Kenya is the Maasai Mara. This is a destination that is highly recommended for both seasoned and first-time

About Wachera

wachera

I can’t keep calm! That’s probably the worst tag line ever, but it’s true. I have tried finding fulfilment from settling down and focusing on one activity and place, but I failed terribly. Okay, I should probably start by telling you who I am. My name is Wachera, a daughter of the African soil. Just recently, I realized that Wachera is native for “the one who loves travelling” .
