There will be a lovely sunrise and/or sunset. You have not seen such views before. We have completed every other one we started. You will get lost. And tired. You cannot be the same after the experience. We always find ourselves somewhere between the start and the end of the trail to the mountains.
Those are SOME of the thoughts we have before any hike. We would hate to wake up and realize that we got used to hiking, and that it does not give a thrill of some kind. Then we would consider ourselves lost; not the numerous times we could not find our way in an unknown forest with no GPS, trying to define our own paths.
Mind versus soul
Above all, losing our minds but finding our souls is mostly what we are all about. We are like bottles; easily running out if not constantly refilled. Run out of life. Out of ourselves. Yet, it is such that we subdue ourselves. Well, the unattractive self. Hard to be in a foul mood while on the trail. The obstacles remind us of the indefiniteness of life; the end reminds us of the smell of success.
Ideally, if it was worth going to, there are no shortcuts. The sun rose, and that is enough reason to triumph. Ultimately, it will set and give way to the moon, so we know nothing is permanent. It can only get better.
Monday rantings. Everyday mantra. Lessons from the mountains. Above all, we now stand taller than the trees because we just conquered the mountains. We will keep walking. We shall define our paths; they are the fuel to our existence.
We directed the adventure and passion we had to every phase our lives. We risked it but it paid off. Then we chanted, “Life did not escape us, we are complete beings.”
Cheers to conquering!
